2026 General Election - Midterms

Sept. 19, 2026
Commencement of Mailing of Mail-in Ballots. For voters using Vote-by-Mail.
Oct. 13, 2026
Voter Registration Deadline (by mail or online). Form must be postmarked by this date.
Oct. 24 - Nov. 1, 2026
In-Person Early Voting. Polls open 10 am - 8 pm weekdays and Saturdays; 10 am - 6 pm Sundays.
Oct. 21, 2026
Mailing of Sample Ballots. For voters not using Vote-by-Mail.
Oct. 27, 2026
Vote-By-Mail Application Deadline. (by mail or online). Application must be received by County Clerk by this date.
Nov. 2, 2026
Vote-By-Mail Application Deadline. (in-person). Applications due by 3 pm at County Clerk's office.
Nov. 3, 2026
General Election Day. Polls open 6 am to 8 pm.

Be a Poll Worker

Poll workers are vital! The NJ Division of Elections pays NJ citizens 16 and older to assist voters at the polls during Early Voting and on Election Day. Mandatory training is provided.
